Sweden

My journey to Sweden took me to Malmö, a city that captured my heart with its unique charm. I didn’t make it to Stockholm or Gothenburg, but Malmö proved to be a beautiful introduction to the country.

I arrived on a crisp winter’s day, and the city’s blend of modernity and history was immediately striking. The light in Sweden during the winter months is unlike anything I’ve ever seen—soft, gentle, and almost dreamlike. It made every street and building seem to glow with an understated elegance.

I spent most of my time wandering through Malmö’s historic district, enjoying the mix of old and new architecture. The iconic Turning Torso skyscraper stood proudly against the skyline, while the cobbled streets of the old town felt peaceful and timeless. The vibe was relaxed, and I found myself taking photos of the little things: the quiet moments, the small details, and the way the light danced on the buildings.

Although I didn’t have time to visit all the sights, Malmö’s beauty didn’t need to be confined to tourist spots. The city’s atmosphere—its openness, its charm—was enough to fill my heart. Next time, I look forward to exploring more, but for now, Malmö will always be the city that introduced me to Sweden’s understated beauty.
