Trough the last couples of years I’ve made some Paris Fashion Week Photography for some of my assignments.

I’ve always been curious of how it’s working; we all know what it is about. But still, it’s opaque when you think about it. Hard to get inside, especially when you see all the people waiting outside trying to peak a view or to get their lucky golden ticket.

I’ve done some fashion photography with some models in the streets of Paris for brands or working on a model or actors’ portfolio. Paris is perfect for fashion photography in its streets or in Haussmann style appartement. But here I’ll be talking about Fashion week photography in Paris. I’ve got my golden ticket to work on some fashion show as a photographer, not directly for the brands but for companies that work within the fashion show. This Is how I found myself having access to some of the most prestigious fashion show and having the chance to see what’s happening behind the curtain.

As a photographer one of the best things about photography in fashion shows is the light. The light setup and the scenography are always great. Everything is studied to look good; you just need to click on the right moment. Designers, models, and people from the fashion industry (journalist, critics, actors, influencers…)  are gathering at the same location to see what the trends and the last creations of the “High fashion” (Haute couture) are.

Here I’ve shared some pictures of the Marni fashion show, it was held at the 51 de la rue de l’Université, in Paris. The former house of Karl Lagerfeld. A kind of a central city palais. A big house between a Yard in the front and huge garden in the back. The catwalk held in the slippery wooden floor… the show was great. No need to say more.
