Wedding photographer in Dordogne
Domaine d’Essendiéras

At the beginning of May, I’ve been the wedding photographer in Dordogne at the domaine d’Essendiéras, I had the chance once again to come across a very charming couple who had chosen this place to unite and exchange their vows during a secular ceremony.
Pierre Pasquet, lord of Essendiéras in the sixteenth century up to current owners, the domaine of Essendriéas is steeped in history. Renovated in 1999 by the current owners, this beauty of French heritage extends over 400 hectares and on these grounds are seven farms and barns, a dozen houses of workers and the heart dominate the castles of the sixteenth century and nineteenth century, the stables, barns, caretaker’s houses, a large park and an orangery. The estate respects the standard “Gites de France” and welcomes holidaymakers but also events and ceremonies. It was for this wedding that I set foot there the first time. Very pleasantly surprised by this vast domain. On this covered day in May I met Kagnom and Fanny videographers in Dordogne.

The ceremony was rich in emotions, after the preparations we headed to the garden where was going to take place the secular ceremony. Under the gaze of a hundred guests I was there to capture every moment of this beautiful ceremony where witnesses, close friends and families followed each other. Then comes the alliance exchange symbol of their union. worn in the left annular where as in the ancient Egyptian belief was a vein that connected this finger directly to the heart, the vena amoris.
After the secular ceremony the guests went to the tents to celebrate this union by toasting. During the reception, the couple, the videographers and I we eclipsed to do a little photo shoot of a couple. One of the big advantages of celebrating your wedding at Essendiéras is to have this huge 400ha property to be able to take photos and immortalize this day. We had a sky laden with clouds, just as I love them (as long as it was not raining it was perfect) with a light not too strong allowing me to highlight the details of the white dress of the bride. We wandered, amused during this portrait photo session. Videographers Kagnom and Fanny were great! at no time we have sheathed, we are always afraid to work with videographers with whom we will not get along. There I was more than reassured! Besides, the video is just at the bottom of the page if you want to see the work.
It was the first time that I went to the Périgord, more exactly in Saint-Médard-d’Excideuil I was hosted at the hotel Le Rustic, which is held by a charming couple whose hospitality is magical. Yes it’s always weird to be welcomed like that while just a few hours before you’re in the subway in Paris moaning. In short if one day you must get married in the area think about this place and if you are looking for a wedding photographer …
