Photographer on the SILMO Paris – The Optical Fair
This year I worked as a photographer on the SILMO Paris The Optical Fair, I produced a photographic reportage for the show and for several exhibitor booth. A trade show is the place and time where a company meets several suppliers as well as a various market players. In addition to the place where all new innovations in the field are revealed. The company must show itself in its best to consolidate its notoriety and or gain the trust of new customers. The stand is the place where an exhibitor welcomes its customers and prospects.
This space is where the exhibitor will spend 3 to 5 days. It must be comfortable, beautiful and functional. The designs of the stands are very varied, as well as the sizes. It was during the assembly of a show that I saw, far from the public eye, the ballet of assembly companies apply themselves to building the stands. Carpenters, electricians, audio visual technicians, lighting technicians, painters, carpet installers and so on, take turns for a few days to build this ephemeral place but long awaited by professionals in the field of optics in the case of SILMO , Paris. which will welcome tens of thousands of visitors to then move on to the dismantling phase and host another show barely 3 days later.
The photographic reportage I made on SILMO, Paris, The Optical Fair was focused on the different stand models of a supplier. I spent a few hours there taking pictures of the different stands in order to showcase their expertise. I have been offering my services as a photographer for trade shows and conventions for a few years now. As I had quoted in another publication: It is important to have quality photos of an event in order to be able to feed the image banks, as well as the communication media. In the age of social networks and instant sharing, I suggest you deliver the photos on short notice. So you will be able to illustrate your publications in suitable formats within very short deadlines. As was the case for SILMO Paris Salon Mondial de l’Optique
