Verukka Salt – [Trans’n’dance Project]
Verukka Salt is a hiphop dancer that took part of my project about dancers and movement. I Took some picture of her at the parc de la Villette north of Paris and then we went to a spot that I really like “L’Aérosol“. I’ve asked her to write some words about her and wh she moved to Paris for her passion.
Verukka Salt | HipHop Dancer
Paris is such a wonderful city in so many levels. When it comes to urban culture there is hard to find anything like it. I came from a small city in Norway with a dream, and now i find myself living it to the fullest. I am a hip hop dancer with the artist name Verukka Salt. The road haven´t been easy up to now, and achieving a dream is no less work. I make sure I enjoy every step of the road. Hip hop is a community and a lifestyle which is very visible here. People support each other and you have many possibilities to grow, but at the same time people are very competitive and it can be hard to get a foot in the game. I have been lucky to meet a lot of good people that enjoy the dance as much as I do. When i was in Norway i would focus on just the dance as I was one of the few people going with the hiphop lifestyle. When I came to Paris I got the opportunity to discover several elements of the culture. Scratching, mixing, graffiti, the fashion etc. I love Paris because there is always something new to discover. New people, new places, new art, new food, new architecture, new music, new clubs, the list goes on and on. I´m still young and the opportunities will be many for me here in Paris, I am sure ! I can´t wait to see what will reveal itself to me in this busy and vivid city. Peace, love, unity and having fun.
