Street photography in Berlin
I’ve made a stop in the capital of Germany after a month trip around the country, a good chance to make some street photography in Berlin. Two days after the attacks of the Christmas market in Berlin, I was surprised to see all the people going out and not falling in the fear and the hate. I think its because Berlin had seen so much before that and this sad event didn’t succeed to put the city on her knees.
I started walking from Alexander platz where the tv tower is until Mitte (the city center of Berlin) as the sun was setting the day got darker but I had good contrasts and color. Around the Gendarmenmarkt, located between the Französischer Dom and the Deutscher Dom (Dom is for church in German) people gathered to have some mulled wine and to enjoy the time of Christmas. I found a place where to take pictures, a little bit from above, from the stairs of the Deutscher Dom. Berlin Mitte is offering another face of the city, fancy and chic many luxury stores are located there. Not my favorite side of Berlin but it’s always interesting to make some street photography in Berlin to show another point of view.
Later while doing this street photography walk in Berlin, I arrived to check point charlie where was the limit of east and west Germany. Full of history this area is attracting a lot of tourist who wants to see some remains of the wall of Berlin.
